Hypha are long branching filaments that together make up the mycelium. Hypha are placed on the edges of the boards hexagons to exert control over the trees root.
Adapt to new challenges
Whilst each player has a set number of pieces they can place, your fungus can adapt, using carbohydrates drawn from the trees rootsystem.
To gain carbohydrates you have to form mushrooms or grow near tap roots.See the rules for a more detailed description.
Here are some examples of adaptations:
Force out opposing pieces
Bonus points for mushroom circles
Relocate your pieces
... and many more
Whenever you connect 3 Hypha grow a mushroom!
When the fungus has collected enough nutrients and the conditions are right, mushrooms will form. In the game this will occur whenever you connect three hypha pieces.
